A museum gallery to promote the legendary botanical reference classic and the spirit behind it's creation is functioning at the 'Centre for Heritage Studies'; 15 kms. from Cochin.Sponsored by the Dutch Embassy in India the Hortus Malabaricus gallery is situated amidst the lush greenery of the Hill Palace compound Thripunithura and adjoining the small botanical garden-a collection of plant species mentioned in Hendrick Van Rheede's 'Hortus Malabaricus'-
the gallery highlights the Dutch cultural contributions in India especially in and around Cochin. The small but well laid out gallery includes many manuscripts ,photographs and some artefacts.
